Un-Disclosed: A Journey into the Heart of the Australian Outback
The rugged beauty of Australia’s wildest and most remote landscapes provides the backdrop for an extraordinary adventure, featuring two riders, Andrea Rossi and Nick Selleck, and the unrivalled performance of Ducati’s DesertX Rally. Together, they embarked on an epic journey through fiery deserts, pristine mountains, and unpredictable terrains, showcasing the spirit of exploration that defines the Ducati brand.
This ambitious project, called Un-Disclosed, is a celebration of adventure, courage, and the connection between rider and machine. It’s a journey that pushes boundaries, captures the imagination, and inspires off-road travel enthusiasts worldwide. Documented in a stunning visual narrative, the docufilm is now available on Ducati’s official YouTube channel, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in this unforgettable experience.
The Legacy of Adventure
Australian rider Nick Selleck is no stranger to daring exploits. Fans may remember him as the star of Mission: Un-Finkeable, a documentary chronicling his incredible feat of completing the gruelling 460 km Finke off-road route on a stock DesertX. With only an auxiliary fuel tank as an accessory, Nick achieved the challenging round trip from Alice Springs to the Aputula community and back in a single day, without refuelling.
One year later, the spirit of that journey lives on with the Un-Disclosed project. This time, Nick is joined by Andrea Rossi, Multistrada and DesertX Product Sponsor, for his inaugural trip to Australia.
A Machine Built for the Wild
Andrea was captivated by the raw beauty and vastness of Australia, as well as the sheer capability of the DesertX Rally. Fitted with a Termignoni exhaust, engine guards, and Pirelli Scorpion Rally tyres, the DesertX Rally proved its mettle in even the harshest conditions. Its professional-grade wheels and suspension, standard on this model, enabled seamless handling across diverse terrains – from technical mule tracks to deep water crossings.
Reflecting on the experience, Andrea shared:
“When Nick proposed this adventure, I didn’t hesitate, knowing it would be a once-in-a-lifetime journey. I couldn’t imagine a better bike than the DesertX Rally for such a challenging and rewarding adventure. From landing on a dirt runway in the middle of nowhere to transporting the bikes by helicopter to a remote starting point, every moment was surreal. The DesertX Rally was consistently reliable and thrilling, whether navigating twisty asphalt roads or the most demanding off-road trails.”

Nick Selleck, a Ducati Product Specialist and DRE Adventure Academy Instructor, echoed Andrea’s sentiments, adding:
“Riding with Andrea was fantastic. It gave me the chance to show him the true essence of Australia, and it was pure joy to push the DesertX Rally to its limits – jumping, drifting, and playing with such an incredible bike. It was a truly memorable experience!”
