The Ducati Panigale V2 is the entry point into Ducati’s Panigale superbike family, distilling the race derived engineering of the flagship V4 into a supersport package that stays genuinely usable on the road. It carries the same fairing clad silhouette and committed riding position as its bigger sibling, but in a size and specification built to reward road riders rather than only trained racers.

Its 890cc 90 degree V2, with a 96mm by 61.5mm bore and stroke and 13.1:1 compression ratio, uses variable intake valve timing to broaden the spread of power across the rev range, producing 120hp at 10,750rpm and 93.3Nm of torque at 8,250rpm. A 2-1-2 exhaust system paired with full ride-by-wire fuel injection sharpens throttle response and gives the V2 its distinctive, hard edged soundtrack, while drive runs through a six speed gearbox fitted with the latest Ducati Quick Shift up and down for seamless, clutchless changes at any point in the rev range, via a 520 chain on a 15 tooth front and 42 tooth rear sprocket. A hydraulically controlled slipper clutch with self servo action keeps the lever light despite the engine’s performance.

A monocoque aluminium frame with a 1,465mm wheelbase carries a fully adjustable 43mm Marzocchi upside down fork and a fully adjustable Kayaba monoshock, tuned to give precise feedback without the unforgiving edge of a full blown race chassis. Twin 320mm semi floating discs, gripped by Brembo Monobloc M50 four piston callipers, and a 245mm rear disc provide strong, progressive stopping power, while Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres in 120/70 ZR17 front and 190/55 ZR17 rear sizes deliver genuine road grip. At 179kg with an 837mm seat height, its compact fairing and committed riding position deliver the true supersport feel Ducati is famous for, without the extreme dimensions of the V4.
