The Kawasaki Ninja 125 is the A1 licence friendly gateway into the Ninja family, built to introduce new riders to genuine Kawasaki engineering rather than a watered down imitation of the bigger Ninjas. Its liquid-cooled 125cc single, a 58 x 47.2mm bore and stroke unit with 11.7:1 compression and a DOHC four-valve head, produces a lively 15PS at 10,000rpm and 11.7Nm of torque at 7,700rpm through a slick six-speed gearbox and wet multi-disc clutch, tuned for flexible low and mid-range pull with a characteristic top-end rush as the revs climb, and driven through a simple chain final drive that keeps running costs sensible for a first bike. There is enough flexibility low down to make filtering through town traffic genuinely easy.

A tubular diamond steel frame carries a 37mm telescopic fork with 110mm of travel and a Uni-Trak rear shock offering 112mm and adjustable preload, at a manageable 149kg kerb weight and a 785mm seat height. A 290mm front petal disc with a dual-piston caliper and a 220mm rear petal disc with its own dual-piston caliper provide confident stopping power, with 170mm of ground clearance and a 1,330mm wheelbase, over a compact 1,935mm overall length, keeping the handling light and nimble. That makes it easy to manage for riders stepping onto two wheels for the very first time.

Sharp, Kawasaki Racing Team inspired bodywork and green livery borrow heavily from the Ninja H2’s visual identity, giving genuine supersport presence, while an all-digital instrument panel adds a modern edge to the cockpit and an 11 litre tank keeps fuel stops well spaced.
