The 1099cc liquid cooled in line four produces 100kW, or 136PS, at 9,000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 7,600rpm. On 120/70ZR17 front and 190/50ZR17 rear tyres, with a 1,440mm wheelbase and an 815mm seat, it steers with more precision than its size suggests and stays planted when pushed. The 17 litre tank means long rides are not interrupted unnecessarily.
A wet multi disc clutch keeps lever effort low despite the capacity, and a 260mm rear disc supports the radial front calipers. Emissions stand at 126g of CO2 per kilometre. The riding position is upright and roomy, which is what allows a bike with this much performance to remain genuinely comfortable across a long day.
