The chassis leans on Yamaha’s proven Deltabox frame, carrying a 37mm KYB inverted telescopic fork up front with a cast aluminium upper triple clamp, a genuine big-bike touch at this level, and a KYB linkage-assisted monoshock with adjustable preload at the rear. A 298mm front disc and 220mm rear disc, both with ABS, provide dependable stopping power through 110/70 and 140/70 section tyres front and rear, while a kerb weight of 168kg, a 1,380mm wheelbase and 160mm of ground clearance keep the whole package light, flickable and easy to place through corners.
A 780mm seat height and a compact, upright riding position make the MT-03 easy to master around town, and a 14-litre tank with fuel consumption of just 4.1 litres per 100km, equating to 94g/km of CO2, means real range between fill-ups without heavy running costs.
